Fitting In Fitness

Fitting in fitness while working full time, doing family full time can feel impossible. Many times, moms feel like they can’t do it all and we are all to quick to let go of our personal expectations to maintaining our own health and fitness. Or we regularly sacrifice other healthy behaviors like sleep and creative time to get in a workout.

Message to all moms: We cannot always put ourselves last!

We need to keep up our expectations of our personal fitness especially while working with a family, not despite it, but we can’t doing it by “robbing Peter to pay Paul.” There’s no prize for the woman who sacrificed the most for her jobs and her kids. We’re going to let more important people down more often if we don’t take care of ourselves.

The video below will encourage you to find creative solutions using a time inventory so that you can find the path of least resistance when it comes to creating your best fitness routine that you can stick to!

Surprise Bonus

After closely working with dozens of moms for several years- many who work and many who don’t- the ones who have schedules to follow are the most successful! Working moms with full family schedules are in a way predisposed to take ACTION! They don’t have as much flexibility, they have more urgency and are already in motion dictated by work and kids’ schedules!

Having options and flexibility does not equal more successful. Being creative and adaptable with firm boundaries does.

There are always ways to fit in fitness, we can work together to find what will work for you.

If you’re ready to stop putting yourself last, write out your time inventory and use the strategies from the video to find your best times to workout. Reminder for what those were:

  • Use what you’ve got when you got it (time and equipment!)

  • Take away what you can live without to make room what what you can’t live without (trash time!)

  • Consider using weekends

  • Double dip when you can
